How to: make 80s synth pop with Analog Dreams | Native Instruments

Watch How To Create 80s Synth Pop With Kontakt 6

Native Instruments is one of the best manufacturers of VST instruments. They have a huge list of VST instruments and sample libraries and the most used VST player, “Kontakt”. We already use Kontakt to create realistic tones and effects like the 80s synth pop. There are many vendors on the internet who sell free Kontakt instruments. The capability of creating independent instruments in Kontakt gave it the huge success in sequencing.

In this video, you will learn how to make the 80s synth pop tones with analog dreams.

Tim Couch from relative instruments will show you in this video how to create an outrun style dance track using complete focusing on analog dreams, a Kontakt expansion inspired by 80s synth-pop soundtracks and video games.
Analog dreams feature meticulously recorded samples from the classic hardware given a new school twist. Thanks to Kontakt 6 powerful processing we start with a simple 606 bass beat crate in a battery comprising kick snare and hi-hat parts. This is led with an 808 clap to provide more rhythmic interest.
We also add a snare and Tom fill from Abbey Road 80s drummer to give their beats a touch of live sounds these are routed through a bus with a VC to an on it to glue everything together.
